Included

What does every Runex app get?

The core platform, on every plan. You never pay extra to unlock HTTPS or GitHub deploys.

GitHub App deploys

Pick a repo and branch; every push redeploys.

HTTPS by default

A secure *.runex.cloud URL per app.

Custom domains

CNAME to cname.runex.cloud.

Environment variables

Secrets injected at runtime, never in Git.

Isolated containers

One container per app with resource limits.

Build and runtime logs

See exactly why a deploy failed.

Cost

Is a deployment platform cheaper than a VPS?

Per unit of CPU, a VPS is usually cheaper. In total cost, often not. A VPS bills for the machine; the server work is paid in your hours.

A VPS (virtual private server) is a rented virtual machine. You pay a fixed monthly fee, then install the runtime, a reverse proxy, TLS certificates, deploy scripts, and backups yourself.

A deployment platform like Runex includes that work in the price. Builds, HTTPS, redeploys, and container isolation are handled for every app you add.

Example: a developer running three apps on one VPS patches the OS, renews certificates, and maintains three deploy scripts. On Runex, the same three apps are three GitHub repos and no server.

FAQ

Pricing questions

Straight answers about plans and cost.

Is there a free plan for hosting web apps on Runex?

Yes. The Hobby plan is free and includes GitHub deploys, HTTPS on *.runex.cloud, custom domains, environment variables, and isolated containers. Its limits are shown in the dashboard.

Where can I see current Runex prices and limits?

In the Runex dashboard after you sign in. Prices and quotas are kept there so they're always current, instead of on a marketing page that can go stale.

Do paid plans change how I deploy?

No. Every plan uses the same GitHub App, the same *.runex.cloud URLs, and the same HTTPS. Paid plans raise resource limits and add capacity and team controls.

How do PaaS pricing models usually work?

Most platforms charge by plan tier, by resources used such as CPU, memory, and bandwidth, or by a mix of both. Compare the total cost, including the server work a platform removes.
